Nigel joined Wait-A-While Playschool in the winter of 2022.
Jim Thompson
Ms. Lynn's dad, Jim Thompson, was a real cowboy from Texas. He trained horses and made western saddles. Ms. Lynn was on horses before she could walk. Jim passed away in April of 2020. Ms. Lynn often thinks of her father when she is working with Nigel. She would like to dedicate work she does with him in the future to the memory of her dad.
Nigel's Future?
Right now Nigel is just another cute animal that gets to be loved on by the preschoolers at Wait-A-While. In the future Ms. Lynn hopes to get Nigel trained and certified as a support animal. She would like to have the ability for him to visit veterans in nursing homes, and children and elderly in hospitals.
